DOROTHY DAY HOUSE MEAL — September 10
Our congregation will be serving supper at the Dorothy Day House on Friday, September 10. We will need food donations as well as 2 or 3 to help serve the meal. We can use men, women, or youth in this mission project right here in our community. Please call Karen Meyer at 282-7079 if you are willing to donate food or help that evening from 5:15-7:15pm.
DEAD SEA SCROLLS EXHIBIT — September 11
Explore the greatest archaeological find of the 20th century-the Dead Sea Scrolls, which include the earliest known texts of the Bible. These 2,000-year-old, authentic text fragments are steeped in scientific, religious, and cultural significance. The Scrolls are on exhibit at the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul. A group from Christ Lutheran Church will be going to the exhibit on Saturday, September 11.

RALLY DAY PICNIC — September 12
Join CLC members of all ages in celebrating the first day of Sunday School. Meat provided; please bring dessert, salad, or side dish to share. Activities for children follow the picnic.
SPUDS AND SPLITS DINNER — September 19
This is a dinner hosted by Mission Committee for our church and for the entire community. This will be a fund raiser for Missions. The menu will consist of baked potatoes with toppings galore, and banana splits for dessert - again with toppings galore! Entertainment will be music from RCLS students and the "Singing Teapots". Come, bless the Lord, thank the Lord, and enjoy a night at Christ Lutheran Church. Dinner will be served from 4:30pm until 6:30pm. See you there!
MAYBERRY REFLECTIONS — October 1
To commemorate "The Andy Griffith Show's" 50th Anniversary, we are hosting an evening titled "Mayberry Reflections." Ken Anderson, author of the book "Mayberry Reflections: The Early Years," will talk about his connection to Mayberry and about the ideals and values that Mayberry continues to instill upon its viewers. Those attending will also watch the very first episode of "The Andy Griffith Show." Mr. Anderson will offer specific comments pertaining to that episode. Authentic Mayberry desserts will be served. Free child-care provided. The event starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm. See September newsletter for more details.
CHURCH WORK DAY — October 2
Please come and help prepare our church for the winter. Pot-luck luncheon follows. Cleaning begins at 9am.
